FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and typically arrive within 3–7 business days once shipped, depending on where you are in the country. Standard shipping is free on orders over $50, and a flat $4.95 otherwise — your exact cost is shown at checkout. As soon as your order ships, we will email you a tracking number.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. Right now we ship within the United States only. We would love to reach more customers down the road, so if you are outside the US, keep an eye on our site — we will announce it when international shipping goes live.

Are the lenses actually polarized? What about UV protection?

Yes on both counts. Every pair of Collins & Carter sunglasses is polarized to cut glare from water, roads, snow, and reflective surfaces, and every lens provides 100% UV protection with a UV400 rating — meaning it blocks both UVA and UVB rays. This is standard on all five frames, not an add-on.

How do I track my order?

When your order ships, we send a confirmation email with a tracking link. Click it to follow your package to your door. If you did not receive that email (it is worth checking your spam folder), email us at info@collinscarter.com with your order number and we will send your tracking details right over.

What is your return and exchange policy?

We offer 30-day returns and exchanges on unworn sunglasses in their original condition, with the hard case and packaging included. If a pair is not right for you, email info@collinscarter.com and we will walk you through the process. Want a different frame instead of a refund? We are happy to set up an exchange.

How do I choose the right frame for my face shape?

A simple rule of thumb: choose a frame shape that contrasts with your face shape. Round faces tend to look great in more angular frames like the Hampton square, while angular or square faces are flattered by softer curves like the Brooklyn round or the Savannah cat-eye. The Sterling aviator and the Pacific sport wrap are versatile and suit most faces. Still unsure? Email us a bit about what you are after and we will happily point you toward a couple of options.

Are these prescription sunglasses?

Our sunglasses are not prescription and do not offer vision correction. They ship with premium non-prescription polarized, UV400 lenses. If you wear contacts, they pair perfectly. If you need prescription lenses, we would recommend having an optician fit them — though we are not currently set up for prescription orders.

Do the sunglasses come with a warranty?

We stand behind how our sunglasses are made. If your pair arrives with a manufacturing defect or a materials issue, contact us within 30 days and we will make it right with a replacement or refund. This covers workmanship — it does not cover accidental damage, scratches from normal wear, or loss, but if something goes wrong, reach out and we will do our best to help.

How should I clean and care for my sunglasses?

Use the microfiber cloth included with your order to wipe the lenses — it is gentle and will not scratch. For a deeper clean, rinse the lenses under lukewarm water with a tiny drop of mild dish soap, then dry with the microfiber cloth. Avoid paper towels, shirt hems, and harsh cleaners, which can scratch coatings over time. When you are not wearing them, store them in the hard case to keep them safe.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) along with the common digital wallets available at checkout, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Every transaction is processed securely.

My sunglasses feel a little loose or tight. Can I adjust them?

Minor adjustments are normal over time, especially with metal frames like the Sterling. A local optical shop can usually tweak the fit in a few minutes, often at no charge. Please do not force acetate frames yourself, as bending them cold can cause them to crack. If you are not sure, email us before you try anything.
